About us

Sebald is an independent real estate investment management firm, active in the Netherlands since 2010. It manages the whole cycle of real estate from acquisition, funding and asset management to disposition. By doing so, Sebald takes care of all of its clients’ interests. These international clients have either an institutional or private wealth background.

Sebald has a proven track record in the real estate industry. Acknowledging the chances in Dutch real estate Sebald executed a successful acquisition strategy, late 2013. In four years’ time Sebald completed more than twenty-five transactions: Divesting in Germany and the U.K. and investing in the Netherlands. Sebald has in depth knowledge of commercial, technical, financial and legal issues and has executed a broad range of real estate transactions, contributing to the execution power of a real estate investment strategy.

The Management

Hedde Stegenga, CEO - Chief Executive Officer

Since 1997 Hedde has worked in the international real estate industry and represents transaction experience well over EUR 700 mio. Prior to founding Sebald in 2010, Hedde worked at ABN-Amro and over twelve years at IBUS, a Dutch private real estate investment firm active in the UK, Germany, France and the USA. As a shareholder and Director at IBUS with a portfolio close to a billion Euro, he was responsible for defining and executing the European acquisition strategy. In 2009 Hedde transferred his interest in the company to his fellow shareholders and subsequently founded Sebald. Hedde holds a master’s degree in Economics from the University of Amsterdam, with a major in real estate and investment economics.
